Immersion trips have been suspended until further notice. Norwich Mission House was destroyed in the Jan 12 Earthquake in Haiti.
Haitian Ministries are traveling to Haiti to assess the needs and to search for new mission house.
Medical personnel are needed to travel to Haiti. If you are interested please contact www.haitianministries.org for information about these medical missions. WATCH FOR INFO FOR NEXT IMMERSION TRIP! A brief description of the trip is as follows; Airfare to Port Au Prince, Haiti Stay at the Norwich Mission House Each day we are driven out to experience Haiti and the people, places and happenings. Room and board are included in the cost of the trip. Travel to the mountain for a visit with our sister parish in Les Palmes. The experience there is much different than the one in the city. People are so pleased to have visitors.
Transportation to and from the airport are provided by the Mission House.
The cost for the trip usually runs individuals $1,100-$1,500. This is determined by how much the airfare is at the time and your personal spending money. All this is discussed in advance at pre trip meeting orientation. Flights are determined on cost and availability to get to New York. Delta is also flying to Haiti as well as American Airlines and donations of sky miles are welcome as well as gift cards for American Airlines. A trip has to be 6-10 people and young adults age 18, high school graduate and over. They must meet the criteria as well. There is also a recommended medical check list for shots and prevention medication for travel through the travel clinic. You also need to have a valid up to date passport.
