The Servant King Poem
On the night before He died,
Jesus knelt and set aside,
All the power, all the fame,
To serve His friends in love, not name.
A bowl, a towel—so meek, so low,
He stooped to where their feet would go.
Through dust and dirt, He washed them clean,
A humble act, yet so unseen.
Peter cried, “Oh, Lord, not me!
You are King—how can this be?”
But Jesus said, “Unless I do,
You have no part with me so true.”
Each foot He touched, each heart He healed,
A love so deep, so full, revealed.
Not just water, but grace He poured,
The Servant King, our Christ, our Lord.
He told them, “Go and do the same,
Serve with love, in My name.
The greatest ones are those who bend,
To lift, to love, to humbly mend.”
So may we kneel, and may we see,
The path of love, of true mercy.
For in His hands, our hearts He keeps,
The King who knelt to wash our feet.
We finish by listening to poem written by Gabi.
