At St Mary’s, young people are at the heart of our church community. We believe that faith is something to be explored, lived, and led by all ages. That’s why we’re committed to making St Mary’s a place where young people not only belong but also help shape the future of our church.
Our Youth Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, providing a space for fun, friendship, faith and food together. Beyond that, young people are encouraged to get involved in every aspect of church life.
All young people are welcome to take part in leading worship, reading, serving, or helping to shape our services. Over 16s can even join our Leadership Team (PCC), ensuring that young voices are heard at every level of decision-making.
On Sundays, we’ve designed our worship to be flexible, with five different parts:
🔹 Holy Communion – A space for reflection and sacrament.
🔹 Learning – A chance to go deeper into the Bible and faith.
🔹 Refresh – A break to connect over coffee and conversation.
🔹 Modern Music – Lively, contemporary worship, where young people can get involved in singing, playing instruments, or running tech.
🔹 Family Time – Interactive, fun, and full of energy!
Young people are welcome at all parts of the service, but we know that Modern Music and Family Time might be where you feel most at home. If you play an instrument, love to sing, or enjoy tech and sound, we’d love for you to help shape and lead our Modern Music sessions!
We want to keep growing as a place where young people love to be and love to lead. If you’re a young person, we’d love to hear from you—how do you want to see St Mary’s develop? Get in touch and be part of shaping the future!
